Project #1 Synopsis

Through out this project I learned a lot about how different shapes can come together. the project started out as a struggle to come up with interesting compositions, however after doing 36 I was able to create interesting pieces that had a nice ambiguity between the figure/ground relationships. for the final pieces I chose compositions that had subtle curvilinear lines mixed with strong angular lines that formed large shapes. I chose these because the visual placement of the shapes was pleasing to my eye, they also had a nice flow through the piece that took your eye from one corner to the next.over all this project was fun to work with and a nice introduction to creating aesthetically pleasing art work with limited objects.
